Jay Leno's garage gets energy-efficient LED lighting (Video)

Comedian Jay Leno’s famous collector car garage  is now lighted by energy-efficient LEDs

Titan LED, a leading US-based manufacturer, replaced replaced the conventional 40-watt fluorescent tubes in Jay Leno’s garage with its 15-watt 4-foot LED tubes, which use 300 SMD LEDs to cast clear, flicker-free light.
The result is a 65 percent energy savings and a brighter environment.

Other key features of the specially-crafted tubes include:

  • Ballast-free operation that use an internal smart driver to automatically handle universal voltage
  • Instant on/off
  • 50,000 hour life expectancy
  • Noiseless operation
  • Extruded aluminum heat sink for enhanced rigidity and thermal management
  • No hazardous mercury or toxic chemicals
  • Rugged construction with vibration and shock resistance
  • Low degradation
  • No ultraviolet
  • Constant current design
  • Easy retrofit
  • More than 96 percent recyclable

In addition, Titan LED’s 4-foot LED tubes, like all of its class-leading products, are made in the USA at its Moorpark, California plant.

“We were very honored to be invited by Jay Leno to replace the lighting in his famous garage, and allow him to enjoy the significant energy savings of switching from old-fashioned fluorescent lighting to our 15-watt 4-foot LED tubes,” commented Titan LED’s President, CEO and Founder Brian Hennessy. “At the same time, we explained to Jay that it’s not just about saving the environment – it’s about saving money. Many of our customers, which include facilities, commercial properties, retail stores, school districts, hotel chains, and hospitals, see a return on their investment is as little as 19 months, depending on the kilowatt rate. After that, it’s pure savings that add up day after day.”

Here Titan's Brian Hennessey and Jay Leno discus the technology, construction and science behind Titan LED’s energy efficient lighting solutions.
