Pre-fab Home Maker Adds DIY Option, Lowers Prices

Blu® Homes, Inc., a provider of premium prefab homes, announced new, lower, standalone home prices along with a "DIY" option for families and general contractors who choose to manage their own site work when purchasing their dream Blu home.

"We are thrilled to be able to provide our customers this new option to buy a standalone Blu home," said Zephan McMinn, Blu Homes CEO. "While most of our buyers want Blu to manage their entire turnkey project, this new option provides more flexibility for homeowners, general contractors and developers who choose to reduce their infrastructure costs by managing their own project. We expect this option will be most attractive for experienced builders or future buyers outside our core Bay Area geography."

The company also announced price reductions across its entire award-winning product line.

"At a time when home prices are increasing across the board in Northern California, Blu is dropping prices," said Zephan McMinn, Blu Homes CEO. "Pricing is being reduced by an average of more than 10% across the Blu homes product line, although individual reductions vary, even as we introduce a host of exciting and elegant new specification and finish options."

The company's refreshed pricing and award-winning Breezehouse and other designs can be viewed in-person at Blu's Model Home Village on Mare Island in Vallejo CA, just a short drive from Napa and Sonoma valleys.  Model homes are open on Saturdays and during the week by private appointment.
