Rinnai donates tankless water heater to HGTV Green Home

As a supporter of HGTV and a long-time resident of the Atlanta area, Rinnai America Corp. is a sponsor of the HGTV Green Home 2012, which was given away last month. The home is in Serenbe, an idyllic, eco-progressive community in Chattahoochee Hills, Ga., the home features a Rinnai Ultra Series Condensing Tankless Water Heater.

"This year's HGTV Green Home is practically located in Rinnai's backyard, which has made the build especially exciting," said Phil Weeks, COO and general manager at Rinnai. "Watching the home develop has been incredibly rewarding. We're honored to play a role in the home's energy-efficiency, as well as the future homeowner's ongoing comfort."

Rinnai's condensing water heating technology offers all of the lifestyle benefits of traditional tankless water heaters — including continuous hot water and the ability to run multiple hot water appliances at the same time — coupled with even greater energy savings. The condensing process delivers up to 95 percent thermal efficiency, which translates to significant energy savings when compared to traditional gas tank water heaters.

This year's HGTV Green Home is a modern family farmhouse with a design inspired by southeastern culture and regional architecture. Located fewer than 25 miles from Rinnai's headquarters, the home features an open floor plan with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The home combines traditional beauty with 21st-century responsible living, showcasing construction and design elements such as solar panels, concrete countertops and the Rinnai condensing tankless water heater, as well as building materials known to contribute to an energy-efficient, cleaner and healthier living environment.
