Fans with LED lighting offer low-cost, stylish ventilation
The best ventilation fan is the one you don't notice, but works behind the scenes to clear the air in a home.
That's the aim of the Panasonic WhisperRecessed ventilation fan that includes a model with LED lighting.
The Ventilation fan is virtually hidden in the ceiling, offering the look of an architectural grade recessed ceiling light. It can be used to comply with ASHRAE 62.2, LEED, CalGreen and CA Title 24.
At the 2015 Internatioal Builders' Show, Patricia Monks, product manager, Panasonic Eco Solutions North America, reviewed the fan/LED light combo.
Monks said the WhisperRecessed LED incorporates an ENERGY STAR certified down light into a powerful 80 CFM fan that exhausts indoor pollutants, allergens, and moisture from the air using only 20.5W.
The adjustable recessed LED bulb helps minimize glare, and LED bulbs in general use about 75% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and last at least 35 times longer. Operating at exceptionally quiet noise levels as low as 0.7 sones at .25” w.g. static pressure, the WhisperRecessed LED is the industry’s quietest and most efficient ENERGY STAR certified recessed fan/LED light.
